Daryl J Wong is a Cinematographer based in Aotearoa, New Zealand - best known for his work on the TV series ‘n00b’ (2024), which was officially selected for the Cannes Film Festival 2025, the Berlin International Film Festival (Berlinale) 2025, and picked up for distribution by Netflix Australia & New Zealand.
For over a decade, Daryl has worked as a freelance Director of Photography across various commercial, documentary, fictional-narrative, and television productions - including ‘The Hustle’, ‘Sik Fan Lah’, and ‘Predict My Future’. His work has garnered recognition at the prestigious New Zealand Cinematographers Society, earning Daryl a Gold Award for Best Web Series in 2021, as well as multiple 'Best Cinematography' accolades at the 48Hours Film Competition and others.
Before entering the freelance sector, Daryl spent two years in Hong Kong as an Associate Producer at Asia Pacific Vision (APV), working on productions for clients like Disney HK, HSBC, and Cathay Pacific.
